weekly menu

The older I get, the harder it is to get back to life and back to reality after what felt like an otherworld experience. I’m still processing the wedding weekend and the countless blessings. My niece put so much care into every.single.detail. What a gift to each guest. From the opening music at the church to the chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the night that were almost too pretty to eat, I was reminded of the beauty of hospitality. This week I hope to set the table with not only simple, delicious food, but with carefully lit candles, picked flowers, and an invitation to rest, be nourished, and be loved.

Monday: burgers, corn, sweet potato fries

Tuesday: salmon, roasted broccoli, potato gratin, mixed greens

Wednesday: butternut squash soup, puff pastry vegetable tarts (prep for thanksgiving)

Thursday: thanksgiving dinner complete with herb roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, glazed ham, sweet potatoes two ways, mashed potatoes and gravy, sourdough stuffing, caramelized brussels sprouts, layered cranberry lemon jello, and pumpkin cheesecake.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: leftovers including deluxe sandwiches, pot pies, and quiches

Happy thanksgiving week!
