Happy February! I can’t believe my little prince and fellow blogger will be 16 years old in just over a week. So much to write about, so little time. But what does his birthday have to do with this week’s menu plan, you might ask? Apparently everything. It is my constant joy to think of how many reasons he gives us to celebrate. He’s kind. He’s hilarious. He’s committed. He’s honest. And he’s not a picky eater 🙂 Over the years his favorite food has gone from hot dogs to tonkotsu ramen. It’s fun to eat around the world at home together. I hope you enjoy thinking about what you’re going to eat this week and everything else that comes to mind as you do!
Monday: sanyet batates (egyptian potato dish); kofta (egyptian meatball); hummus and pita; cucumber and tomato salad
Tuesday: roasted vegetable quesadillas; corn chowder
Wednesday: arroz con pollo
Thursday: buckwheat cakes; sausage; scrambled eggs
Friday: sloppy joes (ground chicken and lentil versions); coleslaw; sweet potato wedges
Saturday: friend’s birthday party
Sunday: family dinner out
