I’ve thought about how much I miss blogging every week, but was just too busy living life, you know? But recently several of our regularly scheduled programming came to an end and I’m truly thankful to be back in the blogger’s seat.
Some highlights the past few months have been (in no particular order):
DJ Wako got his braces off!
DJ Wako won another coding challenge!
DJ Wako passed his driver’s permit test!
And then there was our epic spring break at universal studios and 4 dreamy days in NYC. I don’t remember ever saying yes to so many trips during “school”, but that is part of the gift of homeschooling. We all learned so much together. Sure, we felt the pressure when we got back, but would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
But all that is only part of why I’ve missed blogging so much. There were also so many little moments I want to keep. Like the way the two of us sat together laughing in the row behind his friends because we were late to the play after driving all around town picking those friends up and then we couldn’t get to our car because we stayed behind too long talking to everyone and they locked the gate and then when we finally found a legal way to escape they were so hungry they talked me into stopping at taco bell even though it was way too late to try a cruchwrap supreme.
So here’s to waiting patiently, accepting challenges, saying yes even when it doesn’t quite make sense, making lots of big and small memories this summer AND writing about it all.
