happy 1 month!

Well, we can’t believe our blog is a month old today. It’s been fun, but, unfortunately, it’s time to close this chapter. Thank you to all who have read, commented, or reached out to us to say you were inspired.

I’m just kidding! My darling boy and I are just getting started and we can’t wait to see where we go. Before you know it, thanksgiving will be here, then Christmas, and then the New Year. Writing feels like a celebration, giving thanks, an unwrapping of ideas, and a reordering of priorities all at the same time.

In anticipation of the holidays, comment down below which holiday of the year is your favorite and why. We will kick it old school by putting all the names in a hat and choosing a winner. We’ll announce the winner next Saturday and ask you to get in touch with us so we can send you a surprise. It’ll be fun. I promise. If you’ve never won anything, try this. Since we’re only one month into this blog, the odds are definitely in your favor.

I hope your weekend includes some kind of celebrating, even if it’s just getting through the week.

I was so sad when I read the first paragraph and thought you were closing up shop already! I read every post and comment with great eloquence; though sadly, only in my head.

I love reading about your adventures and your meal plans and dream mornings. It’s just a tiny bit like visiting you again but minus the deep belly laughs and delicious hummus.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. There is something so special about remembering how challenging things were for the founders of our country and how they remembered to thank the Lord for bringing them through the difficult time. I love the colors of fall and the spices and seasonings and fragrances. Ok, I’ll be honest, I love all the food. Most of all I love the intentional family time with immediate and extended family.

Looking forward to reading more of your quest! Keep up the great work. ❤

  3. 4th of July. No family obligations or pressure. Hubby is off work for a day when the summer heat is unbearable. And we spend way to much on fireworks to the delight of our kids and neighbors.

  4. my absolute favorite ADVENT leading up to Christmas (if we can classify that as a holiday). I love all of the build up, preparations, time to pause and slow down and consider the upcoming celebration of the arrival of Jesus to the world — It’s such a push back against the rush of Christmas — I love to take Advent super slow and practice calm with my kids throughout those 4 Sundays!
